Domaine Joel Delaunay The Holy Snail Sauvignon Blanc 2025
Holy Snail Sauvignon Blanc is pale yellow in colour with green tints. It has an expressive nose, marrying grapefruit, fresh lime and a subtle touch of tropical fruit. These bright fruits continue onto the palate, which is round, fleshy and framed by a delicate touch of sweetness. Frankly, with wines as good as this, why look elsewhere? Even our great New Zealand Sauvignons have met their match with this little gem.
TYDY stands for Thierry Delaunay, the fifth-generation owner of Domaine Joël Delaunay. Suitable for Vegetarians and Vegans, the Holy Snail Sauvignon Blanc is blended from fine cuvées of Sauvignon Blanc from across the Touraine region of the Loire Valley. A portion of the grapes are bought in from long-standing growers, carefully selected by Thierry Delaunay. It is an 'IGP Valle de la Loire', so offers great value (compared to an AOC wine).
Served chilled, it is a perfect match for sea bass or bream, grilled or pan-fried with a twist of lemon. It compliments shellfish and salads very well too.
