Rutherford Hill Chardonnay 2016
Light straw in colour, with bright aromas of apples, pear, stone fruits and honey with hints of lemon zest. Full bodied flavour is layered with crisp apple and vanilla. This Chardonnay has great balance and structure with a lingering honey finish. Crafted from grapes grown in the cooler climate of southern Napa that create a wine with striking balance and structure. The 100% chardonnay fruit is carefully hand-picked into half-ton bins and whole cluster pressed to provide the highest quality wine possible, then barrel fermented. The wine then ages sur lie for 8 months in French oak barrels, 25% New Oak. A perfect match to a homely Spaghetti Carbonara, or perhaps a more luxurious Lobster Risotto.
