Highly prized for it intense aromatics, Touriga Nacional forms the basis of most vintage ports, conferring plenty of colour, tannin and age-worthy potential. Touriga Franca adds a perfumed elegance while Tinta Cao provides firmness, length and finesse.
Upon arrival at the winery the grapes are de-stemmed and gently crushed in stainless steel lagares with robotized treading followed by pre-fermentation maceration at low temperature. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats at a maximum controlled temperature of 28ºC until fermentation is complete. Plum, blackberry, raspberry and strawberry with a floral hint of violet. A full-bodied, fresh wine, with balanced acidity well integrated in its body and volume.
